Sound Installation Exploring Acoustics and Spatial Perception
This work was born from my childhood fascination with how sound behaves in different spaces. I remember lying awake listening to rain patterns change as they moved from tin roof to concrete courtyard. Later, studying the whispering galleries of cathedrals and underground cisterns, I became obsessed with how architecture shapes sound. The installation recreates those magical acoustic moments where space seems to come alive. Using field recordings from resonant locations like empty swimming pools and mountain tunnels, I’ve composed an experience that makes visitors feel sound physically. The piece invites you to rediscover your environment through vibration and echo, transforming passive listening into full-body awareness.
